Rugged-Wax™ by woolwax® is not a hard coating. This coating fully dries to a soft wax finish. It is not rubberized, and wll not deteriorate, crack, or hold moisture.  This coating will easily provide excellent corrosion protection for 5+ years under normal conditions. Rugged-wax™ is developed to be applied to newer vehicles or vehicles with very mild surface rust. Do not apply over significant surface rust, as it may not bond properly.  

• Fully dries to a solid rugged wax smooth flat finish. This durable coating will not deteriorate to allow moisture to penetrate the coating.
• Very fine microcrystalline wax that fully dries.  This is an extremely durable long-lasting thixotropic coating that will provide vehicle protection for 5+ years, or more.
• Very mild solvent to reduce ventilation and respiratory concerns. Competitive products have very strong and harsh chemicals and require significant ventilation.
• Fast dry 2-4 hour, with 24—48 hour cure time. Immediate weather resistance once applied.  
• Self-healing, Excellent creep/migration, Resistant to significant road debris damage. Will not chip or crack and will not hold in moisture.
• Higher flash- point than competitors. Does not ship as “hazardous”. Safer to store.
• Non drip, thixotropic coating (easy to apply with quart guns or airless systems).
• Corrosion protection against rock salt, brine, moisture, and other corrosive chemicals.
• Less temperature sensitive, easy to ship in winter, viscosity will stay more stable year-round.
• Will not separate in storage. No heating or thinning is needed.
• Developed to apply to new or “newer” vehicles without significant surface rust.
• For vehicles with mild to moderate surface rust please continue to use “Original Woolwax”.  Dry cured coatings do not perform well when applied over surface rust.
• Contains a blend of corrosion inhibiting wax materials along with a mild solvent as a curing agent.
