Woolwax thinning agent.

We often get asked “what is the best way to thin Woolwax? We always recommend heating or vegetable oil. This raw material has a significant advantage over vegetable oil because it also contains corrosion inhibiting properties.
This is a material blended for excellent dispersion in woolgrease fatty acids and esters. We still highly recommend applying Woolwax at full strength. However, there are those that prefer a thinner viscosity Woolwax for several reasons.
• Applying in colder weather and unable to heat.
• Applying to machinery that is stored indoors.
• Thinner viscosity flows better through extension wands.
• Some users insist on a thinner viscosity for the interior cavities, frames, etc. There is no need for (2) different products. Simply lower the Woolwax viscosity with this reducing/corrosion inhibiting blend.

There is no firm ratio about how much reducer to add to thin. It all depends on what viscosity you are looking to achieve. You need to add a small amount and mix until the desired viscosity is where you would like it to be.
A little goes a long way. You do not need to add much.
